We are loking for:

• A physically fit individual who can assist with, for example, assembling of the stage, scaffolding and other heavy equipment. You do not mind being on your feet and switching between tasks all throughout the day.
• You enjoy working with young people and being in a school environment.
• English is the spoken language in school and colleagues come from all over the world.
• Some spoken Dutch would be an advantage.
• This position requires an open-minded mindset and a “can do” attitude.
• Your number one trait is having a customer service mentality.
• General handyman skills in assisting with fixing small things throughout the day.
• A positive mindset.
• You enjoy working in a team.

International School Hilversum is looking for caretaker/groundsman/concierge starting 1 June 2025.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rooms and other spaces for meetings and events and clear up afterwards; this includes serving refreshments as required. Some events fall outside of normal working hours and will be covered by overtime
• Responsible for litter picking around campus, cleaning communal areas as well as checking and emptying bins throughout the day
• Front of house duties; delivering parcels, meeting/escorting visitors and contractors
• During school holiday periods the caretaking duties may include moving and assembly of furniture and assisting with deep cleaning the school, amongst other tasks.
• Ensure all work is carried out in a cost effective and competent manner and to the required quality standard
• Ensure compliance with regulations, Health and Safety legislation where appropriate when carrying out duties
• Be aware of Emergency Procedures and location of First Aid equipment
• The caretaker will be expected to assist in other duties within the Facilities department as necessary, supporting cleaners, maintenance, and grounds staff.
• Delivering internal post and parcels when necessary.
