Your role as Financial & Business Controller

As a Financial & Business Controller, you play a crucial role in safeguarding the financial health of the organization and supporting management in both strategic and operational decision-making. You combine rigorous financial control with strong collaboration across the business, enabling clear insights into performance, risks, and opportunities. You translate data into actionable insights and actively contribute to the company’s growth and long-term objectives.

In this role, you report to the CEO of Difuzed as well as the CFO (based in the US). You also work closely with the management team and various departments within the organization.

Key responsibilities in this role include:

• Playing a key role in shaping the financial strategy and driving business performance.
• Preparing budgets, forecasts, and multi-year plans, and monitoring them closely.
• Delivering monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and performing sharp variance analyses.
• Safeguarding financial processes, internal controls, and compliance (including relevant laws and regulations).
• Analyzing results, margins, cost structures, and business cases, and translating these into concrete insights.
• Acting as a strategic sparring partner for the executive team and management.
• Supporting investment cases and performing return-on-investment analyses.
• Driving continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.
• Coordinating audits and maintaining relationships with external parties such as banks, auditors and tax advisors.

Our ideal candidate

• Hold a completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Business Economics, or comparable field.
• Has extensive experience in controlling and/or finance.
• Is able to constructively challenge stakeholders and provide well-founded advice.
• Has the skills to lead, support, develop and evaluate a small team.
• Possesses strong analytical capabilities and excellent communications skills.
• Is proactive, critical, and results-oriented.
• Has experience with ERP and BI systems.

Wat we offer

We offer a market-competitive salary (MITT collective labor agreement applies). When determining the salary scale and/or individual compensation, we take the candidate’s work experience into account. Additionally, we offer a travel allowance compensation and an excellent pension scheme, with the employer covering two-thirds of the premium.
