We’re on the lookout for a Financial Controller to join our expanding team and drive our company’s growth!

The Challenge

Our growth is exciting, but the risk of financial mismanagement is real without the right expertise at the helm; that’s why we need a dedicated Financial Controller to guide us through this phase. Your role will be key in ensuring that our financial processes are robust, maintaining clarity and control over our finances, assuring our cash flow is predictable, and our compliance is airtight. With your help, we can scale confidently and sustainably.

Day in the Life of a Financial Controller at GT Ecom

Financial Reporting:

• You'll supervise the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reports.
• You'll ensure compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• You'll develop and manage the annual budgeting process.
• You'll prepare financial forecasts and monitor performance against budgets.

Cost Control:

• You'll analyze costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• You'll manage operational and capital expenditures.

Internal Oversight and Control:

• You'll develop and implement internal control systems to ensure the integrity of our financial data.
• You'll evaluate financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Advising Management:

• You'll provide financial insights and advice to senior management to support strategic decisions.

30, 60, 90 Day Success Milestones for this role

First 30 Days:

• Focus on understanding the company's financial systems, processes, and key stakeholders. Conduct an initial assessment of existing financial data and reports to identify any gaps or areas needing improvement.

Next 60 Days:

• Develop a detailed cash flow forecast by gathering and analyzing all relevant financial information. Establish the structure for the financial reports, ensuring they align with the company's business needs and objectives.

Final 90 Days:

• Finalize and implement multiple financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets. Present the cash flow forecast and reports to leadership, incorporating their feedback and setting up a system for ongoing monitoring and refinement.

Your Team When You Join Us

You will be working with the Finance team directly reporting to our Chief Executive Officer.

We would love to hear from you if…

• You have 3 years of experience in Financial Controlling
• You have created cashflow forecasts, budgeted plans and made financial reports to ensure efficient and effective use of fund for the companies you have worked with
• You have experience using Xero, QuickBooks, SAP or other financial accounting tools
• Knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI for data visualization and financial analysis
• You are precise, data-driven, and detail-oriented

Overview of Our Interview Process

1. Application Submission - We’ll start by reviewing your application.
2. Skills test and assessment - We will send a 55-minute assessment to carefully review your skills and expertise.
3. HR Initial Interview - Our Recruiter will reach out to you to discuss the next steps.
4. Culture Fit Interview - If you progress, you'll have a 15-minute conversation with our HR Manager to assess cultural fit.
5. Final Interview
   • Meet with the Hiring Manager or our CEO.
   • If the Hiring Manager is not our CEO, you may have another call with our CEO.
6. Offer Discussion - If all goes well, we'll discuss the offer and invite you to our pre-onboarding process.
7. Pre-Onboarding Process
   • Background Check: Verification of your identification and declared address.
   • Reference Check: We’ll contact your three references for their feedback.
8. Onboarding: Once all checks are completed, we’ll initiate the onboarding process.
