Vacature Junior SEO Specialist (German)

For the E-commerce department, we are looking for a junior SEO specialist (German). You will primarily be responsible for optimizing SEO content for our recently launched German label Kurzwego.de. Kurzwego.de, like Voordeeluitjes.nl, focuses on short vacations and hotel and holiday park arrangements in the Benelux and Germany, but specifically for the German market.

In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing our texts and other content on Kurzwego.de, with the aim of generating more organic traffic in search engines for relevant keywords. The focus of this position is strongly on copywriting; you will write many SEO texts for our German label.

You will engage in keyword research for the German market and optimizing SEO texts. You will also contribute to improving technical aspects and authority. With your background and knowledge of the German market, you understand better than anyone else how people in Germany search for short vacations. You will work closely with your colleague, an experienced SEO specialist. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to further grow in the SEO discipline and learn a lot from our experienced colleagues.

For this role, it is required that you speak and write German fluently, and that you are proficient in English and/or Dutch at a professional level.

What will you do?

• SEO copywriting for the German market
• Optimizing organic traffic for the German market by conducting keyword analyses, competitive research, and improving landing pages
• Launching new landing pages with thoughtful keywords
• Optimizing the CTR of our organic results;
• Monitoring rankings and reporting on the performance of organic keywords within the German market.

What do we expect from you?

You are commercially oriented, have excellent communication skills, and enjoy tackling new things and learning. Furthermore, you have:

• A completed bachelor's or master's degree with a focus on online marketing;
• Interest and affinity for SEO and online marketing, preferably with some internship or work experience in SEO;
• Fluency in German, and proficiency in English or Dutch at a professional level (required);
• Analytical skills, commercial insight, and the ability to write high-quality (SEO) texts;
• You are eager to learn, enthusiastic, and enjoy picking up new things;
• Experience with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Ahrefs, Google Search Console is a plus;
• Knowledge of web development at the level of code interpretation and understanding of HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and perhaps PHP is a plus.
