Job Description:
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play an essential role in helping our chef prepare and serve authentic Indian dishes. Your tasks will include ingredient preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting various kitchen activities to ensure smooth operations. This role is perfect for someone passionate about Indian cuisine and eager to learn more about the horeca industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the chef in preparing ingredients, such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, etc.
• Help in assembling and plating dishes efficiently during peak hours.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and storage areas.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as required.
• Ensure that all food items are properly stored and labeled according to food safety standards.
• Assist in managing stock levels and inform the chef about low supplies.
• Assist in taking orders and communicating with customers if needed.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in an Indian kitchen is a plus but not mandatory. Training will be provided.
• Passion for Indian cuisine and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene practices.
• Strong attention to detail and a team-player attitude.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Legal right to work in the Netherlands.
