Learning Support Assistant

We are looking for a Learning Support/Teaching Assistant to join our inclusion team. At International School Hilversum we believe in preparing students to be "Ready for the World". You have a background in learning support or special educational needs. You can communicate professionally and with empathy where needed with students, parents and colleagues. You enjoy making connections with students and building relationships.
You are academic level of English is excellent and you are able to provide support across subject areas.
Some knowledge and understanding of IB programmes is desirable.

1. Fluent Academic level English
2. Academic qualification as Teacher, Special Needs, Psychology etc.
3. Experience in a secondary school setting.
4. Eligible to work in NL - passport or work permit
5. Residing in the Randstad area not too far from Hilversum.

• Supporting students (groups, individually) who require assistance with organisation, planning and goal setting
• Documenting and recording action plans and student targets in the various online platforms utilised at the school
• cover lessons during teacher absence and monitoring students’ work and conduct during lesson times
• supporting teachers to plan additional learning activities (EAL, SEN, Gifted)
• supervising group activities such as excursions, visits
• participating in professional development
• supporting the administration team, as necessary
• Supervision of re-set hours and test hours
• Exam or test invigilation

We are an International baccalaureate school with students aged 4 - 19. This position will be providing support in the Middle Year's programme (MYP)
This position is available for 4 days with Thursdays as non-negotiable working day.
Hours are from 08h15 - 16h15.
You will collaborate with the Inclusion Coordinator, The Deputy Head of the MYP and with another Learning support teacher.
