Maintenance Technician (Day Shift) – Direct Contract

About the organization

For an international and innovative manufacturing company within the packaging industry, I am looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician in the Breda region.

The organization develops and produces high-quality and sustainable packaging solutions for, among others, the food, pharmaceutical, and consumer goods sectors. At this modern production site, engineering and technology play a central role, with a continuous focus on reliability, safety, quality, and process improvement.

This is a position in direct employment.

Purpose of the Role

As a Maintenance Technician, you ensure the optimal operation of production and packaging machines, peripheral equipment, and building installations. You carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, support machine changeovers and adjustments, and actively contribute to improvements in safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks according to planning and procedures
• Analyze and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues
• Contribute to the optimization of the maintenance plan based on failure data
• Record completed work in the maintenance system (AX/Dynaway)
• Identify and implement process improvements and technical solutions
• Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments according to NEN3140
• Support projects, machine modifications, and installations

General Duties

• Work according to HACCP, BRC, ISO, and GMP guidelines
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment (5S/LEAN)
• Report incidents and actively contribute to a safety culture
• Share technical knowledge and support colleagues

Requirements

• MBO level 3/4 or equivalent, preferably in a technical field
• Technical insight and experience in machine maintenance
• Knowledge of injection molding processes is a plus
• Familiarity with machine safety, food safety, and cleanroom guidelines
• Experience with maintenance systems such as AX/Dynaway

• Direct one-year contract with prospect of permanent employment
• Competitive monthly salary between €3,500 and €3,800
• 8% holiday allowance, paid in May
• 27 vacation days per year based on full-time employment
• 1 additional day on December 31 due to company closure
