We are group of 3 small kitchen based in the award-winning market of Eindhovens' Downtown Gourmet Market based in  the Netherlands. We are expanding our team. At Bombay street food, our menu is mostly focused on street food across India, with few main dishes. At House of Dumplings we have dumplings from around the world. and Crepe Town has wide verities of crepes, pancakes and poffertjes with different desserts from around the world along with our own fusion desserts.

Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Specialty Cook to join our culinary team. The Specialty Cook will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes within our specialized cuisine or area of expertise. This individual must demonstrate creativity, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of flavour profiles and cooking techniques specific to the chosen cuisine. He / She must be a team player. He/ She will be assisting the main chef.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Execute specialized cooking techniques and methods unique to the Indian cuisine, such as (but not limited to) making the basis of curries, knowledge of tandoori dishes, and different sweets.
• Ensure the freshness, quality, and consistency of all dishes prepared.
• Collaborate with the Head Chef and culinary team to develop new menu items and innovative dishes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels of speciality ingredients and supplies.
• Assist with training and mentoring junior kitchen staff members.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience in Indian Cuisine.
• Proven experience as a Specialty Cook or similar role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or culinary establishment.
• In-depth knowledge of and passion for the Indian cuisine or speciality, with a demonstrated ability to execute authentic and traditional recipes.
• Strong culinary skills and proficiency in specialized cooking techniques relevant to the Indian cuisine.
• Creativity and ability to innovate while respecting the traditions and authenticity of the cuisine.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Bachelor degree from Hotel Management / Catering industry is a MUST. (Application without degree will not be entertained)
• If you are already living in The Netherlands then it's a plus.
• Willing to relocate to the Netherlands.
