Vacature Supplier Quality Engineer

Varex Imaging is looking for a proactive and driven person for the position of:

Supplier Quality Engineer

Location; Doetinchem, The Netherlands.

As a Supplier Quality Engineer you are the driving force behind improving and safeguarding the quality of the products we purchase from our suppliers. Using your technical knowledge, analytical thinking and social skills, you work together with the quality, purchasing, logistics, engineering, production departments and our suppliers.

What knowledge do you have:

• Quality management system ISO-9001 (ISO-13485 is an advantage).
• Experience with Lean, 8D, RCA, PPAP, etc.
• Reading technical drawings and drawing up specifications.
• Measuring methods and measuring tools.
• Audit skills.
• Conversation and presentation techniques.

What you will do:

• You visit suppliers to assess their processes and collaborate on improvements.
• Follow-up of quality problems with the supplier and during incoming goods inspection, in collaboration with the Varex procurement and engineering team.
• Provide input for and assess technical purchasing specifications.
• Assessing change requests from suppliers.
• Manage the Global Supplier Audit Program, planning and carrying out supplier audits, including reporting and follow-up.
• Collaborate with the purchasing and engineering department in the selection of new and development of existing suppliers
• Supporting the quality department in carrying out internal audits, corrective and preventive actions, and improving business processes and associated quality documentation.

What else do we ask of you:

• MBO+/HBO, technical background (preferable Mechanical Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering).
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in an assembly/production environment.
• Good knowledge of the English language (both oral and written).
• Willingness to travel (inter)nationally.
