Warehouse Manager Waalwijk

KLG Europe set up a modern warehouse in Waalwijk in September 2021, a 20,000 m² state-of-the-art logistics center. Here, approximately 150 employees now work on the storage and European distribution of high-quality ICT products.

As Warehouse Manager, you are responsible for managing the team leaders and warehouse employees. This team ensures that operational activities are carried out accurately and within the set timelines. You can think of receiving goods, booking and storing inside and order picking, checking and shipping preparation. You are one of the operational leaders in the warehouse and ensure optimal staffing by conducting interviews and appraisals. Together with the Shiftleaders, you create an environment where teamwork and efficiency are constantly optimized. Your commitment and leadership allows the teams to excel and ensures process continuity. You will report to the Operations manager.

What will you do?

• Ensuring daily management of the team, promoting good cooperation and coordination with other departments
• Conducting job interviews, performance reviews and absence interviews. Also responsible for proper follow-up and documentation;
• Ensuring that procedures related to quality and safety are properly implemented;
• Ensuring compliance with safety rules, procedures, processes and regulations during the shift by performing checks and monitoring performance;
• Create work schedule and instruct warehouse employees;
• Record and report incidents to the Operations manager and in consultation take/deploy actions to improve safety;
• Identifying improvements and making suggestions for improvement;
• Ensuring order and cleanliness in the warehouse;
• Being customer oriented (both internally and externally).

Your profile

• You have leadership experience in a warehouse environment;
• Experience in managing teams of varying composition;
• You have mbo working and thinking level;
• You are a team player with a proactive attitude, willing to go the extra mile;
• You have a problem solving ability and know how to react adequately to problems or challenges that occur in the warehouse;
• You have good communication skills of the Dutch and English language in word and writing;
• You have knowledge and experience of working in WMS and/or TMS systems;
• You have basic knowledge of Word and Excel;
• Knowledge and experience with LEAN (Greenbelt) is a plus;
• You are stress resistant, accurate, organized and systematic.
