In 2003 Marc started growing his first strawberries on table tops, 3 years later he grew his first raspberries. "Why? Because I think there is a good future for growing softfruit, but even more important is, that I like growing!"

Since he left school he grew various vegetables and agricultural crops. The knowledge he gained from this, has helped him in growing softfruit. Also the grower meetings, organized by Driscoll's of Europe, have increased his knowledge in growing softfruit. "The grower meetings are always interesting. It gives me the opportunity to see other countries such as Spain, Portugal, Belgium, the US and Mexico. On those trips I learn new ways of growing and gain knowledge from other growers."

In 2006 Marc started growing for Driscoll's of Europe. He started with the excellent tasting strawberry variety Driscoll Jubilee. Besides that he grows Driscoll® Pasadena™ and Driscoll® Amesti™. Driscoll Maravilla is the raspberry variety he grows. The variety is very well received in the market, because of taste, appearance and shelf life. Last year Driscoll Carmel, one of the best tasting blackberry varieties, was added to the program.

The cooperation with Driscoll's of Europe goes well. The company has made big steps forward. Growing softfruit is improving every year. "It is clear that we are on the right track. I am happy to grow for Driscoll's. Therefore I hope I can work with Driscoll's towards the future."
