Business Systems Analyst

Location: Voorhout, The Netherlands

Department: IT / Business Systems

Reports to: European Business Systems Manager

About the Role

As a Business Systems Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring that our business systems remain stable, effective, and continuously improved. You will act as the local subject matter expert for business applications and support IT and ERP-related projects from a systems and process perspective.

This role provides structure, visibility, and coordination across system changes, testing, data management, and process alignment. You will work closely with both business and IT teams to optimize systems and support operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Business Systems Ownership

· Act as the local expert for business systems and continuously improve their effectiveness.

· Manage daily system administration activities, including configuration, master data, user access, and monitoring.

· Identify, investigate, and resolve system issues, acting as an escalation point when needed.

· Ensure systems are stable, optimized, and aligned with business requirements.

Process Improvement

· Document current (“as-is”) and future (“to-be”) business processes.

· Identify opportunities for system enhancements and process optimization.

· Challenge and refine processes to support efficient day-to-day operations.

· Collaborate closely with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.

Project Coordination and Support

· Support IT and ERP projects, including upgrades, implementations, and optimizations.

· Track system-related business requirements and maintain documentation and decision logs.

· Coordinate and execute testing and validation activities.

· Ensure system readiness and process alignment before go-live.

· Provide visibility of risks, dependencies, and constraints related to systems work.

Communication and Escalation

· Provide clear status updates on IT activities and progress.

· Escalate risks, capacity limitations, and business engagement issues in a timely manner.

· Support informed decision-making through transparent and fact-based reporting.

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications and Experience

· Fluency in both Dutch and English, written and spoken.

· Experience in a Business Systems Analyst, Application Support, or Systems Administrator role.

· Hands-on experience with ERP systems, business applications, and operational IT environments.

· Experience supporting IT or ERP projects.

· Strong understanding of business processes and their impact on systems.

· Experience within FMCG, horticulture, fresh produce, logistics, or similar operational sectors is considered an advantage.
