JUST THE JOB
In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Developing strong seasonal collections that align with the company’s brand identity.
• Collaborating with the design team to ensure consistency across product categories.
• Presenting trend and product opportunities to the Design Manager at the start of each design cycle.
• Researching global fashion trends, including silhouettes, fabrics, and colors, to create innovative designs.
• Attending industry fairs and shopping trips to stay informed on market innovations.
• Creating detailed tech packs, design specifications, and bills of material for development and production.
• Leading design handovers with the development team to initiate the prototyping process.
• Selecting and sourcing fabrics, trims, and materials that align with the collection’s vision.
• Reviewing samples and leading fit sessions, ensuring the best fit, construction, and design details.
• Acting as a mentor to junior designers and interns, providing guidance and feedback.
• Collaborating closely with merchandising and development teams to ensure product feasibility and costing.
• Integrating sustainability principles throughout the product lifecycle.

 
THE TEAM
You will be part of the Outerwear Product Design Team, reporting directly to the Product Design Manager. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, development, and buying, you will help bring creative concepts to market successfully.

ABOUT YOU

• A degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
• Minimum 6-8 years of experience of experience in fashion design, preferably in retail or clothing in a senior role position..
• Proven experience working with (outerwear) menswear.
• Extensive knowledge of design principles, garment construction, and sustainable practices.
• Experience working with global suppliers and manufacturers.
• Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Excellent technical drawing and communication skills.
• Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).
• Ability to mentor junior designers and interns.
