IT Executive

Based at our Rotterdam headquarters, we are looking for a  new colleague who will be the go-to-person for all helpdesk-related support to our employees and at the same will be involved in ensuring a stable and robust ICT-infrastructure. You will work together with the Team Lead and the IT Security & System Executive and in close cooperation with the Wilmar Group IT colleagues.

Main responsibilities:

• Provide appropriate first-level IT support & advice to users, respond swiftly to IT-related issues & requests
• Be the Go-To person for employees reporting/highlighting issues with systems and/or equipment, both locally and remote
• Follow up assigned tickets as registered in Jira (Ticketing system) in a timely manner
• Ensure 24-hour availability of all ICT systems in close cooperation with relevant colleagues and or contractors
• Ensure that the ICT infrastructure meets the needs of individuals and projects
• Safeguard all systems & data are secure & safe, by scheduling upgrades as well as security backups of hardware and software
• Support the Team Lead IT Infrastructure by managing and maintaining network devices, such as switches, firewalls, access-points & telephony
• Research & evaluate end-user requirements, install & introduce new hard- and software
• Execute and/or support IT-related projects as and when required, including cooperation with external partners

We are looking for a candidate with:

• MBO level 4/bachelor’s degree in an IT related field
• Experience with wired and wireless networking technologies
• Experience with Active Directory, Windows Server administration, Windows support, VMWare, Meraki, Ivanti
• Experience with mobile device support for iPhone and Android
• Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues and the ability to propose and implement solutions
• Speaking/reading/writing fluent English, Dutch is advantageous
• Experience with ITIL and Jira or similar ticketing systems
• Extensive ICT knowledge is a benefit (network engineering, basic understanding of internet-applications and protocols, safety & security, etc.)
