Junior Operations Executive Packed

In this starter position, you’ll be at the heart of our packed operations, coordinating both the physical and administrative flow of in and outbound shipments. You ensure timely and cost-effective delivery to our factories and customers, meeting all sales and purchase agreements. It’s a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the entire Wilmar Europe logistics chain, from A to Z.

Main responsibilities:

• Prepare and agree on the supply chain planning for our packed goods with suppliers to ensure our customers are supplied on time
• Manage and control all shipments and deliveries in line with our sales and purchase agreements
• Arrange shipping documentations and bookings in SAP and other systems
• Handle shipping documents for import and export shipments
• Manage customs documentation, approve all relevant invoices: shipping documents, payments approvals, etc in SAP
• Prepare, provisional or final, commercial invoices and delivery documents for customers
• Arrange additional transport where and when needed and purchase logistical services
• Charter trucks, iso tanks, and warehousing ensuring proper execution of contracts
• Arrange, track delivery schedules, and monitor vessels positions
• Manage the inventory/stocks in cooperation with warehouses
• Ensure timely and accurate communication with warehouses, shipping agents/lines, suppliers, customers, internal and external stakeholders
• Monitor loading and discharge process of incoming and outgoing parcels
• Handle demurrage calculations for vessels, trucks, and containers
• Enter and follow up complaints, non-conformities providing corrective and preventive action in NCIP tool

We are looking for a candidate with:

• MBO/HBO or any proven education background in logistics
• Internship experience working with companies engaged in import/export and or trading is highly preferred
• Speaking/reading/writing fluent English and at least one other European language, Dutch is highly advantageous
• Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with import/export documentation, transport, and storage is plus
• Experience with SAP is an advantage
• Pro-active and eager to find solutions and solve issues quickly
• Responsible and able to prioritize to meet short deadlines
