We are seeking a motivated Sales Manager to join our global headquarters for MAN Energy Solutions – PrimeServ Omnicare. From here, we manage and coordinate the entire third-party business of MAN Energy Solutions. In this role, you will actively promote and sell specific Omnicare products to large international customers in the maritime industry. As part of the Sales Management Team, you will play a key role in delivering operational efficiency and sustainable solutions to leading shipping companies worldwide.
Your role:
- Support to frontline sales teams to sell products, services, retrofits, and upgrades directly to major ship-owners and ship-management companies.
- Oversee the entire sales process, from promotion and pipeline development to quote generation and follow-up.
- Visit customers to build and maintain strong relationships, focusing on cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions that meet their business goals.
- Create and implement strategic sales plans customized for each customer.
- Stay informed about industry trends, customer preferences, and regulatory changes to anticipate market demands.
Your responsibilities:
Within PrimeServ Omnicare, you will be a part of a highly ambitious and supportive Sales Management Team. This overview will give you a good idea of what your role will look like:
- 60% - active selling with a focus on promoting products, building sales pipelines, generating quotes, and following up with customers. Building strong customer relationships to offer tailored solutions that meet their needs.
- 20% - developing and implementing long-term, sustainable growth strategies to expand business opportunities.
- 10% - identifying and analyzing market trends, customer feedback, and competitive insights to refine sales approaches.
- 10% - staying informed about industry trends and collaborating with internal teams to gain in-depth knowledge of the product portfolio.
Requirements:
- 5 years sales experience, ideally in the marine or shipping industry (preferred).
- Strong technical background (e.g., Marine or Mechanical Engineer) (preferred).
- Proactive, self-driven individual with go-get it (hunting mentality).
- Customer-centric.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Experience with international customers.
- Willingness to travel up to 30%.
