As a member of the BTC team, the Merchandise Allocator is responsible for executing the merchandise allocation strategy to ensure optimal stock levels across stores (and online platforms). This role works as a peer to the Merchandise Planner, with both roles reporting to the Manager of Merchandise Planning and Allocation. The Merchandise Allocator focuses on stock distribution and inventory optimization, while the Planner focuses on product selection and buying strategies. This role involves monitoring daily inventory, analyzing sales trends, and managing stock distribution to maximize sales and profitability. The Merchandise Store Allocator will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including store managers, store operations, logistics, and e-commerce, to ensure efficient daily replenishment and allocation. Additionally, this role supports the overall merchandise allocation process and contributes to sales growth by aligning inventory with customer demand.
JUST THE JOB
· Manage the allocation of products to stores and online platforms, ensuring optimal stock levels based on sales performance, customer demand, and store capacity.
· Monitor stock levels and adjust allocations as needed to prevent overstocking or stockouts, improving inventory efficiency.
· Work closely with Merchandise Planners, store manager, store operations (and e-commerce) teams to ensure timely replenishment and allocation of items.
· Utilize data and forecasting tools to anticipate inventory needs and make proactive allocation decisions.
· Prepare regular reports on stock performance, sell-through rates, and allocation effectiveness, sharing insights with management and cross-functional teams.
· Identify opportunities to improve the allocation process, proposing and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency.
THE TEAM
You will be part of a small team of 4 specialists, who work closely together in a fast paced environment. The team is part of a larger BTC team of over 50 people. We look out for each other and aim to improve our processes daily.
YOUR PROFILE
· Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
· Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in merchandise allocation, planning, or inventory management within a fashion or retail environment.
· Experience in B2C channels is a plus.
· Proven track record of managing stock distribution.
· Fluency in Dutch & English is a must; German highly advantageous.

· Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and customer behavior to make informed allocation decisions.
· Inventory Management: Proficiency in managing stock levels, forecasting demand, and optimizing inventory turnover.
· Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues in the supply chain and implement effective solutions to improve product flow and stock availability.
· Collaboration & Communication: Strong communication skills to work effectively with internal teams (e.g., logistics, store operations, e-commerce) and external partners.
· ERP & Retail Systems Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems, inventory management software, Excel and retail analytics tools.
· Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks, including, Allocation, and reporting, in a fast-paced retail environment.
· Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail when managing stock levels, analyzing sales data, and tracking product performance.
· Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial metrics, including margins, markups, and inventory turnover, and their impact on profitability.
· Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing market conditions, customer preferences, and business needs.
