Vacature Quality Controller

MM Flowers is a dynamic and growing company supplying fresh flowers and bouquets 

to the retail sector in the UK and Europe. We are ready to welcome you to our team!

Quality controlling Cut Flowers on intake, production and despatch ensuring all 

products are to our grower specifications and customer specifications. 

To be multi-skilled in all disciplines of the operational areas and support the various 

functions where the business requires.

Core business responsibilities 

- To inspect incoming raw material according to the intake procedures and 

document all findings. 

- Check on the finished goods to ensure customer requirements are met

- To be involved in the production processes during packing/producing on the 

lines

- To inspect the Quality, customer specifications and product integrity prior to 

being dispatched to the customer - i.e. Positive release inspections.

- To send the claims supported by photographic evidence from the defects 

found at intake to suppliers

- Reporting non-conformances and inconsistences to the farms/suppliers

- Putting shipment on HOLD In instances of high temperatures (i.e. Hot 

shipment )

- To carry out any other requirements within the role as and when instructed by 

Technical Manager

Person profile 

- Good standard of education, specifically in English and Maths.

- Previous experience in a quality assurance role is beneficial (experience within 

the flower industry would be an advantage)

- Required knowledge of quality inspections.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office

- Ability to work under pressure

- Ability to work in a team and under your own initiative
